Se anuncian las nominaciones a los Globos Oro 2023

La 80ª edición de los Golden Globe Awards anunció esta mañana de lunes sus nominaciones. Los ganadores se darán a conocer el 10 de enero en una gala retransmitida en directo por la NBC y Peacock desde el Beverly Hilton y presentada por Jerrod Carmichael.

Los 10 nominados a la mejor película en las categorías de Drama y Comedia/Comedia musical de los Globos, respaldados por la HFPA, son Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, The Fablemans, Tár y Top Gun: Maverick (Drama) y Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery y Triangle of Sadness (Comedia/Musical).

Los Globos vuelven al aire tras un año de ausencia en medio de una revisión de la HFPA, que sufrió reformas y sacudidas tras descubrirse prácticas cuestionables en torno a su gobierno y sus miembros. El grupo aumentó la diversidad racial y étnica de sus miembros. También eliminó la práctica de aceptar regalos y puso en marcha una línea directa para denunciar irregularidades.

Una omisión notable en el palmarés de hoy es la de Tom Cruise, protagonista de la secuela de Top Gun, que contribuyó a que el público volviera a los cines. Cruise devolvió personalmente sus anteriores trofeos de los Globos tras enterarse de los problemas de la HFPA.

Brendan Fraser, protagonista de The Whale, ha sido nominado hoy a pesar de haber dicho que no asistiría a la ceremonia. En un artículo reciente, hizo referencia a su revelación en 2018 de que había sido manoseado por el ex presidente de la HFPA Philip Berk en un almuerzo en Beverly Hills en 2003. Berk negó la acusación.

Por el lado de la televisión, Abbott Elementary lideró todas las nominaciones con cinco, seguida de The Crown, Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Only Murders on the Building, Pam & Tommy y The White Lotus, todas con cuatro cada una. Las nominadas a mejor serie dramática son Better Call Saul, The Crown, House of the Dragon, Ozark y Severance. Abbott Elementary, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building y Wednesday han sido nominadas a mejor serie musical o de comedia.
